Frequently Asked Questions

Visits can be once a month for 2 hours or twice a month for 1 hour each.  Additional options may be available based on family and consultant availability. 

Visits have three main components: 

- Check In: updates and goals for the session

- Play: this can be a mix of parent-child play, consultant-child play or all together play. The consultant coaches parents and models play project methods, techniques and activities. This component can include other parts of the day, such as meal times. This is also when video recording occurs.

- Wrap Up: the Play Consultant writes an end of visit summary with notes and ideas from the session.

Videos capture things that might be missed in the moment. It increases reflection and skill building for parents and other play partners. 

Traditional ABA focuses on increasing positive and helpful behaviors while decreasing negative behaviors. Sessions often takes place in a clinic setting with a behavior technician who works directly with your child. Parents do not always participate in sessions. 

PLAY Project focuses on building social interaction and communication skills. Sessions take place in your home with a Certified PLAY Project Consultant. Parents are central to the PLAY Project and take part in each session. The consultant uses coaching and feedback to support your learning as well as playing directly with your child. 

Both are evidence-based and work towards helping autistic children gain the skills they need to be successful.

In-person service costs $150 per month, with a 6 month contract. If families would prefer, a month-to-month option is available at $200 per month.

TelePlay is available at $100 per month, with a 6 month contract, or $150 on a month-to-month basis.

We serve the Twin Cities and surrounding areas. Depending on you location, there may be a small travel fee for in-person service. 

Becoming PlayFull is private pay. Payment options include cash, check, PayPal and Venmo.
